Countdown until HVAC restart:
Keeps the HVAC on. Normally the climate control will stop after 30 minutes if you don't use the car. Once you start Camp Mode, you must keep this page open and your device on. Camp Mode stops when you turn it off, leave this page, lock your device, or switch apps. If you lock the device or switch apps, you have less than 3 minutes to come back to this screen before Camp Mode is turned off. If you don't see a countdown timer, then Camp Mode is off.

Warning: Using other Tesla apps/services may sign you off Remote
For some users, it appears that running the official Tesla app and perhaps other 3rd party Tesla services would invalidate your login in the Remote app. If this affects you, here's the fix: Go to your Tesla.com profile: https://www.tesla.com/teslaaccount and click “Manage” on the car(s) you want to control with the Remote app. There should be a “Car Access” section there to add a new driver. Fill out that form, proceed to add yourself as a new driver using a different email from the one you already have for Tesla.com. Finally, use that new Tesla account to log into the Remote app.
How to setup Siri and Shortcuts for your Tesla
Open an app called
Shortcuts.
Go to the My Shortcuts tab, and press the (+) button on the top-right.
Press Add Action. Press Apps (or type in the search "Tesla Remote"). Press the Tesla Remote icon.
Press Awaken Tesla (90 sec timeout). This action will keep trying to wake your Tesla until it is awake or until 90 seconds passes.
Press the search box at the bottom where it says "Search for apps and actions". Press Apps (or type in the search "Tesla Remote"). Press the Tesla Remote icon. Add the action you want the Shortcut to do (for example, Unlock Tesla). You can add different actions if you want it to do more than one thing.
When you're done adding all actions, under each action, you'll want to press "Show More", and then turn off "Show When Run".
Press Next on the top-right.
Give the Shortcut a name. In this example, it is named "Help Unlock Tesla":
Press Done on the top-right. You're not done yet if you want this to work with Siri.
Important Step:
Now you need to create a second shortcut if you want this first shortcut to work with Siri. This is because Siri will usually time out and stop the shortcut before your Tesla is awake. The workaround is to create a second shortcut that allows the first shortcut to run in the background even after Siri times out. Here's how to do that:
Go to the My Shortcuts tab, and press the (+) button on the top-right to create a second shortcut.
Press "Add Action" and then add an action called "Run Shortcut" (do a search for it if you can't find it).
When the action is added, press the faded "Shortcut" text that is next to "Run", and press the name of the Shortcut that has the Tesla actions you want to run. If you followed the example above, then the name would be "Help Unlock Tesla".
Press Done on the top-right. Give the Shortcut a name. The name will be the phrase you say to Siri to activate this Shortcut. Now try to run this shortcut once and it'll ask you to allow this shortcut to run your first shortcut. Press Allow.
Here is an example of a shortcut that is set up to unlock the car if you say "Unlock Tesla" to Siri:
Is the above method timing out? Try method 2 instead: If the above Shortcut method isn't working because it keeps timing out (such as for Siri on the Apple Watch), try setting up your Shortcut like this instead:
To save you time, tap this link and then tap "Get Shortcut" to add this example to your Shortcuts.
This is just one shortcut. You don't need a second Shortcut with this second method. In the example above, the Shortcut tries to wake up your car, then checks if it is still not online. Note that "online" must be all lowercase in the "If" action in this Shortcut. Then if it's not online, it'll try to run itself again (note that it's running the same name of the shortcut). And it'll keep repeating until it is online. Then it'll do what you want it to do.
Protip if your Shortcuts still aren't working: If Siri is constantly throwing you an error immediately or your Shortcuts quit working when they shouldn't be, then restarting your device usually fixes it.
Have multiple vehicles in one account? Here's how to control each one via shortcuts:
1) Select the car that you want the shortcut to control by going into the Tesla Remote iOS app and pressing the ⚙️ gear icon. After using the list at the bottom to pick the car, press the Done button.
2) Now open the Shortcuts app and create or edit a shortcut. In the search box that says “Search for apps and action”, type in “Tesla Remote” in the search.
3) In search results, press the Tesla Remote icon at the top of the results. This will open up a list of all available actions. Scroll to about 3/4th of the way down to find a “Switch car to #####” action. The ##### would be your unique car id number.
4) Add that “Switch car to #####” action to your shortcut before you issue any other Tesla commands to it including any Awaken commands. Now that shortcut will always switch to that car before doing the commands.
5) If you want the shortcut to switch to another car, repeat steps 1-4 from above.
How to do Automation with this app
Create a Shortcut first.
The instructions for doing so properly is above.
Open an app called
Shortcuts.
Press the Automation tab on the bottom.
Press Create Personal Automation.
Press the trigger you want that would activate your automated action (e.g. Time of Day). And press Next.
Press "Add Action" and then add an action called "Run Shortcut" (do a search for it if you can't find it).
When the action is added, press the faded "Shortcut" text that is next to "Run", and press the name of the Shortcut that has the Tesla actions you want to run.
Press Next on the top-right.
Turn off "Ask Before Running" if you want to have a hands-free automation. If your trigger doesn't have this settings, then there's no hands-free version of it and your device will ask you first before it will do the automation.
Now try to run this automation once by pressing the Play button, and it'll ask you to allow this automation to run your shortcut. Press Allow. Press Done on the top-right.
Here is an example of an automation that is set up run daily at 8 AM:
You will need this OAuth token and car ID if you want to create your own functions at your own website. OAuth tokens expire after 90 days. After which, you have to login again in the app and generate a new token. Do not share this token with anyone, because it allows control over your vehicle.
